Who am I and what do I do? That seems to be a difficult question and I find that question on my mind today.
Earlier today as I was feeling frustrated and just “out of sorts” I made the mistake of going to my LinkedIn page. Well after viewing it, I nearly deleted it. Yup, that little snot got to me. I looked at it and I was like, I look like a flake that can’t keep my attention on one item for more than a second. Geez. How does that impress people? I came close to hitting that delete button, but I didn’t.
I am an online entrepreneur that often wonders where my tribe is. I wonder how come I have never been able to find that “sweet spot” that other online entrepreneurs have been able to find and have success. Maybe it is because I bounce around so much and can’t seem to settle on a niche?
So who am I? First off I am a wife and a mother. I have a wonderful husband and 5 talented and beautiful children. I am a student. I love learning new things (this may be part of my issue?). I am a veteran. Yup, you heard that right, not only was hubby in the Army, but I wore combat boots as well. I am a writer. I enjoy putting the written word down on paper (I mean screen). So much so that my undergrad degree is in English. I am told I am both a geek and a nerd. Yeah, if that isn’t descriptive I don’t know what is. I love working with technology and I also do all those nerdy things like Star Wars, X-Files and Doctor Who. Go figure. I am a soap maker, self-taught, before YouTube. I am a seamstress. I am a scrapbooker. I am an eclectic collector of craft “stuff”.
That is quite a list of Who I am.
Now, What do I do?
I blog. I have several blogs. See the list in the top menu. Some are sadly neglected, but I try. I love to write. I make soap and bath products. For cool soaps try the last link in the top menu. I make altered clothing, so I have a huge collection of sweaters, just waiting to be made into arm warmers and fairy coats. I work online as a VA (Virtual Assistant), this is mainly as a ghostwriter.
I have big plans but am still struggling to “make” it. Who out there is with me? What is the saying? Jack of all trades, master of none. That describes me.
So join me on my journey. I used to have a personal blog (years ago) that highlighted all of what I was doing. Not broken down into specific niches. That is what this is going to be.
The journey will not be a smooth one. It may take me awhile to get into the habit of daily blogging. I encourage you (If anyone is actually reading this) to keep me in line and keep me blogging. I will write about all things in life. I will also post lots of links to my other ventures, so heads up!
‘Till next time,
