Well I feel like I have been in a fog lately. Yeah I know typical huh? Well let me tell you about it …

It all started in June with this move. I feel like this has been the worst moving experience ever. Monkey men packed me. I had a lot of damage to items that I hold near and dear. That threw me into a depression right there. I love my house, but there were a lot of little things wrong with it. The dishwasher was broke, there were mouse droppings in the stove, the window in the sun room was totally missing, and those were just the major things.

But we do love the house and we love where it is, so slowly but surely we have been working on getting our lives settled down. Our living room is no longer painted mocha and orange (yes you heard me, orange), The window has been ordered a second time (the first came in damaged) The dishwasher is fixed (as long as I make sure the arm in the bottom is firmly attached everytime I use it and don’t use the sanitize opition) and I am proud to say the stove has been sanitized with bleach more times than I care to talk about.

So three weeks ago the girls started school. We were so excited about it. One of the major reasons we choice Wisconsin was because of the virtual school.  We started on day one with no books. The assured us we would have the books on day one, but nope they weren’t here. They have trickled in, bit by bit. Yesterday was the first day we have had all our books. Yes in Week 3! And I almost went balistic if one more person said I should send them to public school. I needed support and none was to be found, except the great online support group for WIVA.

So for the first 3 weeks we have been making due. Kinda hard, but we have been hanging on, until Tuesday of last week. See we have been doing on the online lessons. They sent a computer for the girls. It made for a lot of printing, but they had even sent a printer, so it was all good, until it died.  yeap I said died. Youngest daughter was in the middle of a science assesment and it just went black. I tried rebooting it and it said boot with CD I even tried safe mode. No can do. They had to send me restoration disks. Got them yesterday, but you know this story doesn’t have a happy ending yet right? They were just copies and the last one was blank.

You hear me laughing right? It has been a comedy of errors. They are overnighting me another copy of restoration disk. I should have them tomorrow. Until then the girls have been using my computer. Hence why no one has really heard from me.

In the meantime I have been cooking up a storm. It has been keeping me sane. And I might add giving me lots of great ideas! I have made zuchinni bread, tomato sauce, white chocolate/dark chocolate cheesecake and chocolate angel food cake.

I am sure that I will look back and this and laugh and say oh those were the days, but lately it has just been frustrating.  Today is looking better, I have my new table being delivered this morning and a creative writing class this evening. The girls love it hear and the boy has a job and a growing savings account. Life is good, now if I could just get some work done!
