To all my friends that are veterans and even those that aren’t!

Today is Veteran’s Day.

If you are a Veteran, I want to thank you.

If you aren’t a Veteran, thank you for standing behind us.

Those friends I made while in the service are my friends for life.

They are one of a kind. They are dedicated and loyal. They are the best friends anyone could have.

Even after years, I know friends that I made in the service who would do anything to help me out. They are there when I need them. I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

For all those that are serving right now, to include my son, my deepest thanks and respect. You all work so hard to make sure that we have all the rights and comforts we have grown acustom to. You are the reason we are free and no one can thank you enough.

Happy Veteran’s Day to everyone. Doesn’t matter if you are in uniform, if you were ever in uniform. We have a lot to be thankful for today. Those who wear the uniform, have worn it, or even those that aspire to, Thank You!

  1. Judith,
Thank you for your service. And thanks to anyone who reads this who has served or is serving. Not a day goes by without me thinking of the sacrifices you have made for our country. Thank you for the freedom you have given us.

I have a nephew who is currently serving in Iraq. Each day, I pray for his safe return. My dear friend lost her 23 year old son in Iraq on Memorial Day. It has been a really difficult 5 1/2 months for her. Kile was doing what he believed in and loved.

  2. Hi.

    Excellent post!
I think everyone should appreciate the vets, even those who don’t believe in war.

Anyone who has ever been in that uniform deserves respect for standing up for the country.

  3. Judy, what a lovely post. I’m sorry I’m late getting here. I am honored that I had a chance to serve with you. My prayers Josh’s service that he stays safe. My cousin, Zach, is in the Marines right now serving at Camp Legune. He’s an MP. He told me he joined the MP corps because I was an MP. I was very touched by that. Kim, your nephew is in my prayers as well.

God Bless all the troops, past and present
    Steph
