Lessons of the road
After a day driving through a snowy West Virginia, we arrived late last night. It was a long drive, but we are here. I have made a few notes to self about our next trip though.
Organization - Make a list of everything you need to take and make sure you stick to it. Nothing like making that list and then not using it to make sure you have everything.
Stop packing the car - Don’t keep throwing in the little things. Just cause you have nooks and crannys left in the trunk, don’t stuff it full. Just makes a mess and you lose stuff.
Dress for possible weather -Â When you leave it is 72 and sunny. You pack all the winter gear in the bottom of the trunk. By the time you stop that night it is 22 and snowing. You are going to have a wee bit of trouble. If you think you will need it, put it within reach. The last thing you want to be doing is digging through your trunk for snow boots, while you have snow going down the back of your t-shirt!
I am sure I can come up with a few more. Give me a bit of time and some more coffee. Have a wonderous day!
