Alzheimer - time to get up and walk

We hear on the news everyday about Alzheimer’s Disease. If this has never touched your life it may be hard for you to understand the devistation that this disease brings about.

Alzheimer takes the memory and the daily functionality out of your loved ones life. Watching a woman who could quote the Bible and play the piano from memory struggle to remember her daughter’s name is heart wrenching. My Grandmother suffered from Alzheimers the last years of her life. It would break my heart when she would tell me about her Granddaughter. She would tell me all about her. Not realizing that she was indeed talking to the granddaughter herself.

Research has come a great distance to find a cure. But has a long way yet to go. Money is needed to continue this. And this means fund raisers. The annual fund raiser is the Memory Walk. Find out where your local walk is and participate. It is a worthy cause. It is a national event and you can find local areas all over. Be sure to sign up early.

The Alzheimer’s Association is the sponser for the Memory Walk.

If you are looking for a place to volunteer or donate your time and money, this is a cause to look into.

What do you think about blog hopping?

It has been a seriously long time since I blog hopped. What about you? Do you have a list of sites that you visit their blogs everyday? Do you have a list of blogs on your roll that you visit, or is it just there?

I am looking for ways to network. Trying to get my blog out there and be seen. Get links. Willing to do a link exchange, but I really need to see what is out there for these opportunities.

I am thinking of making my marketwhatyoumake.com into a blog too. Ideas, ideas every where. Goodness. I don’t even know where to start!

OK back to writing. And ummm don’t forget to Twitter!!!!!

Credit, Credit Everywhere

I recently wrote an article on teens and saving. I think I need to write one for teens and credit. We really need to educate our teens on how to use credit. How to find low rate apr credit cards. How to use the credit wisely. I really wish someone had talked to me about this when I was younger. The ins and outs of using credit wisely. A low interest credit card is a great start though. You don’t have to settle for one of those through the roof companies. Find a low rate apr credit card first. Use it WISELY. This puts you well on your way to a great financial future.

Resist those impulse buys. Pay more than the minimum balance. Do not carry more than 75% of your credit limit. This means that if your limit is $1000, never have more than $750 balance on your card. And never make a late payment.

Teach your teens, and lead by example!
