Well I don’t think I will make my July Goal.  Well I might, but I won’t reap the benifits until October.  But I am doing what I love so what is the big thing? Wish I had the money now, but it will be coming in.  And for that I am thankful.

I sat here thinking last night about my “internet life”.  How it has morphed and changed.  I have been here for over 10 years.  Yes that is a long time.  For the first 9 of that, I basically viewed the internet as a “pretty toy”.  You know, you come online, you chat to people, you send emails yaddie yaddie ya.  I may make a few pennies selling my soap or designing a website.  In reality though I didn’t make much money at all.  I spent more than I made.

While I had a very nice website, I didn’t have many visitors.  I didn’t have a way to capitalize on visitors anyways.  It was a pretty “about me” site.  It had no content and nothing sticky about it.

How life has changed in the past two years.  I have learned so much and grown so much.  I found that I could actually make money here on the web.  Yes more money than I spend here on the internet.  First I started doing customer service phone work.  Yes on the internet.  Not a glamourous job maybe, but a job.  It was through that job that I started networking and making contacts.  This lead me to all sorts of other Independent Contract work.  While not jobs, and sometimes not even steady income, I was making money. I was spending long hours though.  And not making a whole lot for that time.

Then I found writing.  I love to write.  I have been writing my own novel for years.  This seemed right up my alley.  I found I could write short articles and get paid for them.  From there I went to my current position.  It pays a bit more, the articles are a bit harder to write, but well worth it.

Now we are back to my website.  I need for it to start paying for itself.  I have adsense up.  And a few affiliate marketing links, but I need to get out there and get traffic.  More networking is needed.  I have a “pretty” site that now needs to be honed and focused.  I am going to start working on making this work for me.  Stay tuned.

You know there will be a section, either here or on another domain, about working from home.  That is so much part of my life.  I know it has been done to death, but I am going to make another ding in it.  There are so many opportunities out there.  And I am not talking for the scams.  There are too many of them.  But I am talking real opportunities.

Grab life by the horns.  Make it work for you.  Grab that cloud that has your dream and don’t let go!!!

I feel like I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off this week. I have gotten nothing at all done it seems. I hate weeks like this. I really do. I have so much to get done. I need to do some organizational things. And along with that I think I shall sell a lot of my crap. I really need to downsize, badly. That will be my goal. Going to have a yard sale, and sell some stuff on ebay too I think.

On another note, while I missed my earning goal this month, I know I will make it for next month. I will only come a few short. The thing is my new job doesn’t pay till 60 days after I invoice. sigh… so while I earned the money, I won’t see it until October. So do I figure that into October goals, or now goals? I think now goals. I will get lazy in October if I think I have that money coming in.

I promise that I will be adding more articles here. I know, it has been weeks since I did. My own personal funk, what can I say? But I am working on it honest I am!

It has been awhile since I blogged.  Bad Judi.  Not that I haven’t been writing.  Been writing my rear off.  Take a peak at my AC Widget over there.  Bright pink to the left.  My goal is to have 20 new subscribers to my AC account by the end of July.  So buzz right over to my Associated Content page and subscribe.  See the subscribe button there at the top?  You would really make my day!

I also got another contract position for writing.  Do you know what that means?  That means no more answering phones for Judi!  Yipee!!!  I can’t tell you how much that means to me!  I may just meet my goals yet!  Yes I do have goals.  What is a girls life without goals to aspire to?

I have up the basic outline for Market What You Make.  I haven’t really pushed any traffic there though.  It is just an outline.  I am starting to write some articles that will be put up there.  There is so much useful information out there for creative moms that want to sell on the internet. I have some great content that will go up there about affiliate marketing too!  I can’t wait to share it with you!  I also have some great content to add right here to this website.  A whole new section about kids, school and education!  So you all need to check back often and see what is going on!
