Happy President’s Day!

Well here it is a gorgeous day out, though chilly for Georgia standards.  It got down to below freezing last night, and for here that is just down right COLD!  I have heard rumors that it has snowed here.  Well I won’t believe that till I see it!

I am all snuggled in with my coffee and my word processor this morning.  It is a good morning to write.  What makes it a good morning to write?  Well let’s see?  I have good coffee (Chocolate Irish Creme), Bonnie Raitt on my Zune (new album Bonnie Raitt and Friends), my kids are all quiet (they aren’t morning kids yeah!) and most important, I have nothing pressing to do.  Well actually I do, but nothing more pressing than to get this story out of my head and down on the computer screen!

This scene with Anna and Alan has even been messing with my sleep!  I mean really, is it a normal thing for a writer to become so obsessed with their characters that they dream of them?  Now granted I put a lot of myself into my heroine, but this is ridiculous!  I wonder if I would have the guts to get through what Anna had gone through.  I think that is the point really to make her have the strength that women long for, to see her come through something and succeed at it, and leave with the man.  Not that she has yet, but hopefully she will!

No the book is not prewritten, I didn’t do an outline.  The characters have come alive in my head and taken a life unto their own.  I guess that is why it is so hard for me to write some days!  I mean really, I hate arguing with the hero on a good day, arguing with him with the written word, just adds to that :)
Well I am off to see what I can see and write where they will go next!

Caio!
